Friday, October 31, 2014 Edition of NarbNet!

October 31, 2014

Welcome to the Friday, October 31, 2014 Edition of NarbNet!

Happy Halloween!
This is my favorite time of year in the Boro.  Last night we had our wonderful Halloween Parade! (Over the
years, I have gone from pushing the kids in a stroller to dressing the dogs in costumes.  Picking the right dog
costume is an art, Louise just did not look right as Elsa and opted to dress as a pepperoni pizza…)
Tonight it’s going to be a beautiful night in the Boro for all our trick or treaters.  Our police will be on patrol,
ready to render any assistance and to remind everyone that the little ones will be running up and down the
streets and at the corners.
Please be careful. If you must drive, drive slow and have fun!

Why not build on all that walking you did for Halloween?
Run + Beer = Fun!

RECENT "SURPRISE" TESTIMONIAL From Kate Szumanski
"There is nothing like working with someone who knows exactly what she's doing. The experience is not only
enjoyable but also comfortable and relaxed. Many photographers can take good photos, but Avi Loren Fox
brought other intangible qualities to our shoot: an experienced artistic eye, in-depth knowledge of our location,
and kindness in the ways she interacted with each member of my family. Avi took great care to capture the
quiet moments and the more playful ones, and everything in between." - Kate Szumanski (full review here:

Hi:
As many of you know, I opened a FREE clothing shop inside the Narberth Food Bank. We are low on several

pants, belts, etc.
Women's clothing: dresses, pants, shirts, shoes, boots, jewelry, etc.
Kid's clothes: jackets, shoes, boots, pants, shirts, etc.

Please only donate gently used clothing or jewelry and please drop directly at 201 Sabine Ave.  in the MELC

and please pass this on to anyone you think may have great things to share. I promise, you will make many
people smile!

Thanks in advance. Please ask any and all questions!

Phyllis Hurwitz
In order to facilitate donations to the Narberth Food Bank, the Narberth Community Library has become a
Drop Off point for donations.  There is a receptacle just inside the library front door, in front of the circulation
desk. We hope this will make it easier for library patrons and other Narberth citizens to drop off much needed
donations at a time that is convenient for them.  The library is open from 10:00 to 8:00 - Monday thru
Thursday and 10:00 to 5:00 - Friday and Saturday. www.NarberthCivic.org/news is now publishing a self-
updating notice of items currently needed for donation to the food bank at the Narberth Family Resource
Center. The needs change regularly, and so will this list. I hope this will facilitate more efficient giving. Please
remember the food bank! Even just a few extra cans or items from
a trip makes a difference. There is significant and regular need right here in Lower Merion & Narberth. Check
out the article space in the top right hand column of NarberthCivic.org/news under Family Resource Center of
Narberth. Thank you for your support!
