Are you a traveling Narb or a staycation Narb?
Whether you’re here or over there (or wherever), please remember you have a great big little town (hey, what a
great title for a song) to support!
Our merchants and restaurants stay here and await your return (just like the dog), but don’t forget them!
Before you head out (or in) do a little shopping, pick up a bite to eat and spend some money in our downtown.
Buying local keeps your money local and helps our great little big town economy.
Thanks and have a wonderful time wherever you go (or not go)!

Pool Survey for the Cynwyd Club:
As you may have heard, the Cynwyd Club, a private club on Trevor Lane in Bala Cynwyd
(www.cynwydclub.org), is contemplating the elimination of three tennis courts and their replacement with a
members-only pool, and has obtained all necessary zoning approvals from the Lower Merion Township
Zoning Hearing Board to do so. Once land use plans are complete and approved, opening of the pool and its
related facilities can be expected in the summer of 2017.
In order to assess interest among its neighbors in this undertaking, the Club has composed a brief survey that I
ask you to complete (see link below). The Club is especially eager to attract new members from the
neighborhood to invigorate and expand its membership.
Accordingly, please assist by answering this brief survey.

Now here’s a list of fun, entertaining and community events in and about our town (Narberth and Nearberth)
for the upcoming week (and don’t forget to check www.meetthemayor.org for more updates):
1.) Saturday, July 16, 2016, THINGS WE KNOW
Acrylic, Spray paint and Graffiti on Canvas by Kimberly Neff
This show is an exhibition of Kimberly Neff’s recent work in acrylics, spray paint, metallic leaf, and acrylic
markers in bold but feminine palettes. A graffiti street art style meets soft and ethereal, in this study of bold
effervescent fun
Kimberly Neff is a self taught artist working in acrylics and mixed media on canvas. This is her first solo
show. She has two children, 3 years old and 9 months, and lives with her family in Narberth, PA.
This show will be on display through Sunday, July 17.
2.) Monday, July 18, 2016, there is a Narberth Borough Council (Business) meeting at 7:30 PM. Please join
us to discuss the “goings on” about our town. All are welcome!
3.) Tuesday, July 19, 2016, Storytime with Miss Julia at the Narberth Community Library. Every Tues and
Thurs at 11 am, year round. Join Miss Julia for songs, stories, and a craft.
4.) Tuesday, July 19, 2016, *Narberth Community Food Bank *
All are Welcome!*
Many thanks to all who volunteer, donate and support the NARBERTH COMMUNITY FOOD BANK to help
end hunger in our community. We also thank the Narberth Community Library for having a receptacle by the
circulation desk for much-needed donations of non-perishable food items to make it easier for library patrons
and other Narberth citizens to drop off donations during library hours (10:00 to 8:00 Monday to Thursday and
10:00 to 5:00 Friday and Saturday). The food bank is always in need of canned chicken/turkey/tuna,
unsweetened hot or cold cereal, granola bars, jelly, canned fruit, popcorn, rice, quinoa, boxed milk and gluten-
free pasta, soups and crackers. A few extra cans or items from your shopping trip makes a difference to help
address the significant need right here in Narberth and Lower Merion. Of course financial support is also
always welcome and donations can be made online through PayPal
@ https://
5.) Wednesday, July 20, 2016, NARBERTH FRIENDS COMMUNITY PLAYGROUP
Starting June 1st, we are moving our weekly playgroup outside for the summer! Invite a friend and join us
every Wednesday morning, from 9:30-11:30am at Sabine Playground. Sand & fun for the toddlers and kids, as
well as blankets for the babies to lounge & play.
All are welcome! We hope to see you!
Kimberley (momma of Ava & Alexa)
&
Cheyenne (momma of Ellis & Kent)
Hosted at Sabine Playground
(At the intersection of Sabine & Montgomery Ave.)
6.) Wednesday, September 14, 2016- Save the date: Please join the Fishtown and Narberth Beer Runners on
Wednesday, Sept. 14 for a 2-4 mile run, followed by beers/refreshments and an outdoor screening of "Beer
Runners".
We will meet on the south side of the Narberth, PA train station at 6:30pm, run between 2-4 miles and end in
the heart of Narberth.
We'll visit a local bar for beers/refreshments, then make our way to the Haverford Avenue side of The Fitness
Station (corner of Haverford and Forrest Avenues), where we'll start the outdoor movie screening of "Beer
