Santa is taking the R5 on Sunday to Narberth and Septa has promised no delays. We’ll have hot chocolate and
cookies (thank you Narberth Fourth of July Committee) plus good spirits and all around happiness.

Thanks to all that lent us your voices at our “House of Narbs” Town Hall.  We are scheduling a follow-
up/status update Town Hall for late January, 2016 and we’ll keep you posted as soon as we firm up the date.

If you plan to do a get away this winter, please let our police know and they will check on your home while
you’re away.  Just stop by the station or drop me an e-mail note at [email protected] and I will let our
officers know you are away and to put your residence on the house check list.

3.)     Sunday, December 13, 2015 | 3:00 pm, Composer Andrea Clearfield Brings Her World Class Salon to the
Main Line
The community is invited to attend an incomparable free ($10 donations appreciated, but not required)
performance as Main Line Reform Temple welcomes composer Andrea Clearfield and her Salon
Extraordinaire.  This performance of world class musicians will feature diverse music including classical,

Classes at The Handwork Studio are a great way to keep your kids creative outside of school. These one-hour

6.)     Tuesday, December 15, 2015, *Narberth Community Food Bank *All are Welcome!*

Thank you to all who volunteer, donate and support ending hunger in our community. In order to facilitate
donations to the Narberth Food Bank, the Narberth Community Library has become a Drop Off point for
donations.  There is a receptacle just inside the library front door, in front of the circulation desk. We hope this
will make it easier for library patrons and other Narberth citizens to drop off much needed donations at a time
that is convenient for them.  The library is open from 10:00 to 8:00 - Monday thru Thursday and 10:00 to 5:00
- Friday and Saturday.
www.NarberthCivic.org/news is now publishing a self-updating notice of items currently needed for donation
to the food bank at the Narberth Family Resource Center. The needs change regularly, and so will this list. I
hope this will facilitate more efficient giving. Please remember the food bank! Even just a few extra cans or
items from a trip makes a difference. There is significant and regular need right here in Lower Merion &
Narberth. Check out the article space in the top right hand column of NarberthCivic.org/news under Family
Resource Center of Narberth. Thank you for your support!

Killing a King: The Assassination of Yitzhak Rabin and the Remaking of Israel
Dan Ephron, author of Killing a King, a New York Times Notable Book of 2015, will be speaking during our
Shabbat evening services. A riveting story about the murder that changed a nation, the assassination of Israeli
Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin remains the single most consequential event in Israel’s recent history, and one
that fundamentally altered the trajectory for both Israel and the Palestinians.  Join us to welcome this

9.)     Friday, December 18, 2015 is Mayor's Movie Night!
We're showing our favorite "Elf" in the Auditorium, Narberth Borough Hall, 100 Conway Avenue, 2nd Floor,
beginning at 7:00 P.M. Movie Night is always "FREE" and there will be refreshments, popcorn and candy
available. Parents/Guardians: Cheers! Enjoy the Holidays and grab a bite to eat/drink or shop for (many)
presents in our wonderful Narb Downtown during the movie. There will be a sign-in sheet or just see me (I'm
the projectionist) at Movie Night!

10.)    Sunday, December 20, 2015 - Holiday Workshop at The Handwork Studio.  The Handwork Studio to join
us for a special holiday  workshop at our Narberth Studio on Sunday December 20th from 3:30 - 5:30. Your
child can join us to create a custom project to celebrate the season one-of-a-kind workshop for just $45.

11.)    Thursday, January 7, 2015. Shade Garden Perennials for Summer and Fall
Harriet L. Cramer, garden designer and author of "A Garden in the Shade," brings her expertise to the
challenge of finding beautiful, resilient, shade tolerant perennials for summer and fall for the Narberth Area
Garden Club's meeting on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at7:15 p.m. at the Narberth Community Hall, 2nd floor,
100 Conway Avenue, Narberth, Pa., 19072 (use Haverford Avenue entrance).  Free for members; $6. for
visitors.
