Welcome to the Friday, January 2, 2015 Edition of NarbNet!
Happy New Year!
We’re looking forward to another wonderful year (all 365 days) of life (including many, many events) in the
Borough! Please join us in the fun! (if you would like to volunteer for any committees, projects or have any
ideas for new activities, please send me a note at [email protected])
A really big Narberth Thank You to our Narberth Borough Council, Borough Manager Bill Martin and his
pencil sharpened staff for delivering yet another Borough Budget with no tax increase. (For those counting
(and who isn’t?), that is the 5th consecutive year of no tax increases.)
Congratulations on a great job!
Please Stop (and Slow Down while you’re at it.)
School resumes next week (which brings its own bit of joy) and I would request that all Narbs and Nearbs
remember to come to a complete stop at designated stop signs in the Borough. Our children rely on you to
completely stop (hey, no rolling) for their safety.
We love our NarbDogs! (but please remember to pick up those special “presents” left on the neighbor’s
property or public right of way and properly dispose of the bags in the trash.) Woof Woof! (translation: Thank
You!)
T-Ball and Coffee News: We will be opening registration soon. Make sure you become a friend of Narberth
T-Ball and Coffee on the facebook page (you will also be able to view pics, coffee blends and important

A BIG THANKS to all of the Narbs & Nearbs who supported the MANTLE Kickstarter Campaign! Are are
more than fully funded (check out final results here: http://kck.st/1F7uUKh) and I am so excited to move into
production in 2015 and share this snuggly new hooded-scarf with the world. Gratitude, and happy holidays! -
Avi

Thank you to all who volunteer, donate and support ending hunger in our community.
In order to facilitate donations to the Narberth Food Bank, the Narberth Community Library has become a
Drop Off point for donations. There is a receptacle just inside the library front door, in front of the circulation
desk. We hope this will make it easier for library patrons and other Narberth citizens to drop off much needed
donations at a time that is convenient for them. The library is open from 10:00 to 8:00 - Monday thru
Thursday and 10:00 to 5:00 - Friday and Saturday. www.NarberthCivic.org/news is now publishing a self-
updating notice of items currently needed for donation to the food bank at the Narberth Family Resource
Center. The needs change regularly, and so will this list. I hope this will facilitate more efficient giving. Please
remember the food bank! Even just a few extra cans or items from
a trip makes a difference. There is significant and regular need right here in Lower Merion & Narberth. Check
out the article space in the top right hand column of NarberthCivic.org/news under Family Resource Center of
Narberth. Thank you for your support!
