Friday, January 9, 2015 Edition of NarbNet!

January 09, 2015

Welcome to the Friday, January 9, 2015 Edition of NarbNet!

I really can't stay
(But baby, it's cold outside)
I've got to go away
(But baby, it's cold outside)
This evening has been
(Been hoping that you'd drop in)
So very nice
(I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice)…

I get it. It’s cold outside.
You can stay in but not for long!
We have a lot planned for you this month and our merchants and restaurants want to see you as well.  Just
bundle up, grab someone’s hand and join us in the downtown to support our local economy by dining or
shopping with our merchants.  Stay warm and green!

Frozen yet?
You’ll soon be.
Next Friday, January 16 we're showing our chilly, just waiting for it to snow favorite "Frozen!" Why you ask?
1.) True meaning from "Frozen" really only comes after watching it at least 50 previous times, 2.) You need to
affirm for yourself that Idina Menzel can easily hit that high note on "Let it Go" and that whole NYE thing was
a fluke, and 3.) The second you mention to the kids that Frozen is playing in Narberth you will not be able to
make any other plans for the rest of the evening!  For more info, please see below.

Please Slow Down and Stop.
School’s back in session and I would request that all Narbs and Nearbs remember to come to a complete stop
at designated stop signs in the Borough. Our children rely on you to completely stop (hey, no rolling) for their
safety.

We love our NarbDogs! (but please remember to pick up those special “presents” left on the neighbor’s
property or public right of way and properly dispose of the bags in the trash.)  Woof Woof! (translation: Thank
You!)

T-Ball and Coffee News:  We will be opening registration soon.  Make sure you become a friend of Narberth
T-Ball and Coffee on the facebook page (you will also be able to view pics, coffee blends and important
postings throughout the season.)  Access the facebook page at : https://www.facebook.com/pages/Narberth-T-

A BIG THANKS to all of the Narbs & Nearbs who supported the MANTLE Kickstarter Campaign! Are are
more than fully funded (check out final results here: http://kck.st/1F7uUKh) and I am so excited to move into
production in 2015 and share this snuggly new hooded-scarf with the world. Gratitude, and happy holidays! -
Avi

(http://www.sewardlibrary.org/services/cakepans.html). Pans will be available for lending hopefully around

Thank you to all who volunteer, donate and support ending hunger in our community.
In order to facilitate donations to the Narberth Food Bank, the Narberth Community Library has become a
Drop Off point for donations.  There is a receptacle just inside the library front door, in front of the circulation
desk. We hope this will make it easier for library patrons and other Narberth citizens to drop off much needed
donations at a time that is convenient for them.  The library is open from 10:00 to 8:00 - Monday thru
Thursday and 10:00 to 5:00 - Friday and Saturday. www.NarberthCivic.org/news is now publishing a self-
updating notice of items currently needed for donation to the food bank at the Narberth Family Resource
Center. The needs change regularly, and so will this list. I hope this will facilitate more efficient giving. Please
remember the food bank! Even just a few extra cans or items from
a trip makes a difference. There is significant and regular need right here in Lower Merion & Narberth. Check
out the article space in the top right hand column of NarberthCivic.org/news under Family Resource Center of
Narberth. Thank you for your support!
