Time to strap on your rugby cleats, pull on your rugby shorts, tighten up your belt and flags and play some
rugby!  The 2015 Narberth Flag Rugby season is right around the corner and we are looking forward to having
you back for another exciting season. Each summer our program has grown and we are looking forward to

BACK AT THE LIBRARY:
PLANT SALE Saturday June 13 & Sunday June 14 from 12 to 4 in front of the library. Sale will feature
perennial & annual plants, small shrubs, herbs & vegetables. GARDEN BOOKS and other specialty titles also
will be available for sale. If you have potted and labeled plants to donate, please contact Dee Welge at
dtw@sitesandbites.com.  Sale is organized by the Narberth Garden Tour Committee and proceeds will benefit
the Narberth Community Library.

1.)     Friday, June 5, 2015, Narberth’s First Friday has a special twist every June. From 6-8 pm on June 5, the
Narberth Business Association hosts the seventh annual NarBark Dog Parade. Come to downtown Narberth
for music, food, and fun, and bring the family pooch! Dress your dog in its finest parade costume, and compete
in one of several categories. Register on site from 6:00 - 6:30pm. Registration is free, but donations will be
accepted for ARF SEPA, the local animal rescue foundation. There will be food, music, and great prizes for

2.)     Friday, June 5 | 6:00 pm, Open House: Shabbat Family Service & Sha-Bar-B-Que.  Join your friends at
MLRT for a Shabbat Family Service and Sha-Bar-B-Que. We will gather at 6:00 pm for wine and
cheese/cookies and milk and then follow with services and a festive kickoff to the warm months ahead with a
wonderful home-style cookout outdoors (weather permitting). All are welcome to attend and unaffiliated
neighbors and friends are invited to join us with their families as our guests to pray and dine with us, tour our
building, meet our clergy and enjoy this informal Sabbath celebration. To join us for dinner, make your

3.)     Saturday, June 6, 2015, Calling any and all volunteers for day of event activities for the Tour de Cure,
benefiting The American Diabetes Association. The Tour de Cure is a bike ride. taking place on Saturday,
June 6th, 2015 starting from the Temple Ambler Campus. We are looking for folks to help us out in various
ways, from registering riders, to handing out food and water to cheering on the riders as they cross the finish
line. People will be needed between 6 am and 4 pm and you can work all or any part of the day that you like. If
you would like to volunteer to help out a worthy cause, please contact Andrea Deutsch, the Chair of the 2015
Tour de Cure, at amdeut@aol.com.


4.)     Saturday, June 6 & 7, 2015, 10am-4pm Tempered Glass Mosaic Workshop at Sweet Mabel. Learn to
make glittering art by combining collage and mosaic technique with internationally acclaimed mosaic artist

5.)     Sunday, June 7, 2015, Join us at 9:00 AM for Narberth T-Ball and Coffee in the Park.  Bring a blanket,
chair and watch T-ball while we serve the best Sunday morning coffee!


6.)     Monday, June 8, 2015, Narberth will be holding a Council session at 8:00 PM, Borough Hall, 100
Conway Avenue, Narberth.  Please join us and have your voice be heard.  Thanks!


7.)     Monday, June 8, 2015, The Handwork Studio is now enrolling for Summer Camp at both their Narberth
and Rosemont College locations. Choose from Handwork Day Camp (ages 5-12) or Fashion & Machine
Sewing ( ages 9-15). Camp starts onJune 8th in both Narberth & Rosemont. You can contact Miss Ana at 610-

Thank you to all who volunteer, donate and support ending hunger in our community. In order to facilitate
donations to the Narberth Food Bank, the Narberth Community Library has become a Drop Off point for
donations.  There is a receptacle just inside the library front door, in front of the circulation desk. We hope this
will make it easier for library patrons and other Narberth citizens to drop off much needed donations at a time
that is convenient for them.  The library is open from 10:00 to 8:00 - Monday thru Thursday and 10:00 to 5:00
- Friday and Saturday.
www.NarberthCivic.org/news is now publishing a self-updating notice of items currently needed for donation
to the food bank at the Narberth Family Resource Center. The needs change regularly, and so will this list. I
hope this will facilitate more efficient giving. Please remember the food bank! Even just a few extra cans or
items from a trip makes a difference. There is significant and regular need right here in Lower Merion &
Narberth. Check out the article space in the top right hand column of NarberthCivic.org/news under Family
Resource Center of Narberth. Thank you for your support!


10.)    Wednesday, June 10, 2015, Last Walk to School of the school year:  Wednesday, June 10!  Hello
Belmont Hills families! Please join us for the last group walk to school of the year! Our 2.5 mile route for all
ages, features all manner of terrain. First timers always welcome. Meets and departs at 7:50 AM from the
corner of Iona and Meetinghouse Aves, Wednesday, June 10. Questions please ask Jim

11.)     Wednesday, June 10, 2015, YOGA FOR CHILDREN aged 3 to 5 years. A friendly class, where we will
create a warm and welcoming space for children and parents too come and enjoy the benefits yoga can offer.
Blending movement, story, games and magical meditations, this class will open the door to a space where we
slow down and smile at how much fun taking our time can be!! At : Milokiflow, new Jiu Jitsu and Yoga studio

12.)     Thursday, June 11, 2015, YOGA FOR 4th and 5th GRADERS – FREE EVENT in Narberth. EVERY
THURSDAY FROM 4.15pm. MEET IN FRONT OF NARBERTH POST OFFICE AT 4pm This is an
ongoing weekly class especially designed for busy 4th and 5th graders. It's a small group of children who I
welcome each week and work with in a yoga setting - helping them to soften the heavy school week and learn
about the beauty of mindfulness. Gentle, safe, and very friendly. Pre-registration necessary as numbers are

13.)    Saturday, June 13, 2015, The Circus returns to Narberth Park for three shows on Saturday, June 13, at
2pm, 4:30pm, and 7pm.  All tickets are $9.00. They are available now at Narberth Community Library,
Borough Hall, and also before each show on the circus grounds.   Proceeds benefit the Narberth Community
Library.


14.)    Friday, June 19, 2015 is Mayor’s Movie Night!
We're showing "Penguins of Madagascar" with Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private and a few other Pixar
shorts in the Borough Auditorium, Boro Hall, 100 Conway Avenue, 2nd Floor, Narberth beginning at 7:00
P.M. Movie Night is always "FREE" and there will be refreshments, popcorn and candy available.
Parents/Guardians: Make it a Narberth Date Night! Grab a bite to eat or shop in our downtown during the
movie. There will be a sign-in sheet or just see me (I'm the projectionist) at Mayor's Movie Night!


15.)    Sunday, June 21, 2015 ( Father’s Day!) the Friends of Linwood Park is sponsoring a Summer Solstice
Park-to-Park Bike Ride.  We will meet atLinwood Park (corner of Athens Ave and Linwood Ave in Ardmore)
at 10:00 am to go over some bike safety and bike maintenance and then commence, en masse,  on a low stress
approximately 13 mile ride from Linwood Park, to South Ardmore Park, Wynnewood Valley Park, Shortridge
Park,  Lower Merion Botanic Garden, the Cynwyd Trail, to Sabine Park and back to Linwood. We will be
traveling by low car, low stress roadways to emphasize how to get around the township without feeling as if
you may be plowed down byan SUV! This ride will also get us acquainted with better ways of biking around
the Township and Narberth and help us get to know our parks and their amazing attributes! You can join the
ride on the way or for the whole route. This ride is FREE and recommended for adults and older kids only - no
little guys on this one. Just show up on the 21st , no registration necessary. For more info or to help out, please
