Friday, February 19, 2016 Edition of NarbNet!

February 19, 2016

Welcome to the Friday, February 19, 2016 Edition of NarbNet!

Alice Kingsley: Sometimes I believe in as many as six impossible things before breakfast.
The Mad Hatter: That is an excellent practice.
Come join us tonight at Mayor’s Movie Night and tell us what you believe!
We’re showing our favorite Borough Movie, Alice in Wonderland at 7:00 PM in Borough Hall (See info below!)

"Some community members have scheduled a "cash mob" for Lapp's Narberth Farmers Market this Saturday from
8am-4pm. If you'd like to show your support for this business, join in by shopping there any time during those hours
on Saturday. The idea is to give them a sales day they'll never forget!"

NARBERTH FRIENDS COMMUNITY PLAYGROUP!

It’s almost Wednesday again! We gather every Wednesday morning, from 9:30-11:30am at Narberth’s own Great
Expectations Together. A $5-10 recommended donation per family, gives you and your little ones FULL access to 2
hours of open play at the GET community center play space.

Each session begins with introductions and a welcome song, followed by open play. The community center has
space for active play of toddlers, as well as a comfortable area for infants and not-yet-mobile babies. Please feel free
to bring drinks and snacks for yourselves and your little ones. Restroom facilities & changing table available.

Parents, grandparents, caregivers and children, newborn through age 5, are welcome and we are happy to answer any
questions at the email below!

We hope to see you soon!

to the Narberth Food Bank, the Narberth Community Library has become a Drop Off point for donations.  There is a
receptacle just inside the library front door, in front of the circulation desk. We hope this will make it easier for
library patrons and other Narberth citizens to drop off much needed donations at a time that is convenient for them.
The library is open from 10:00 to 8:00 - Monday thru Thursday and 10:00 to 5:00 - Friday and Saturday.
www.NarberthCivic.org/news is now publishing a self-updating notice of items currently needed for donation to the
food bank at the Narberth Family Resource Center. The needs change regularly, and so will this list. I
hope this will facilitate more efficient giving. Please remember the food bank! Even just a few extra cans or items
from a trip makes a difference. There is significant and regular need right here in Lower Merion & Narberth. Check
out the article space in the top right hand column of NarberthCivic.org/news under Family Resource Center of

Narberth on Saturday, March 12, 2016, from 1pm - 4pm.  This free family event is a scavenger hunt, the Saturday
before St. Patrick’s Day, where kids search all over town to find ten leprechauns.  Hundreds of children start the hunt
by getting a game card and an empty pot o’ gold from the booth at the corner of Forrest and Haverford Avenues.
They get treats as they find the leprechauns, who are hiding in shops all over town.  Once they’ve found all ten, they
return to the booth for a prize - a gold American dollar coin! The hunt lasts until 4pm or while prizes last.
