There is a President’s Chat on Monday (at 7), Caucus session on Wednesday (at 8) and another President’s Chat on
Thursday (at 7) regarding recent revisions t the FBZC. (see dates and times below.)

NARBERTH FRIENDS COMMUNITY PLAYGROUP!
It’s almost Wednesday again! We gather every Wednesday morning, from 9:30-11:30am at Narberth’s own Great
Expectations Together. A $5-10 recommended donation per family, gives you and your little ones FULL access to 2
hours of open play at the GET community center play space.
Each session begins with introductions and a welcome song, followed by open play. The community center has
space for active play of toddlers, as well as a comfortable area for infants and not-yet-mobile babies. Please feel free
to bring drinks and snacks for yourselves and your little ones. Restroom facilities & changing table available.
Parents, grandparents, caregivers and children, newborn through age 5, are welcome and we are happy to answer any
questions at the email below!

1.) Friday, March 4, 2016, Great Expectations Together, 33 N. Narberth Avenue, Narberth. Come join the Narberth
community at GET for "Neighbor Night" and First Friday! Bring your families and socialize with your neighbors
over drinks and snacks. You can also check out some local artists (including art from the Philadelphia Independence
Network) as part of GET's participation in Narberth's First Fridays. There is something for every age and ability.
Get some food and drinks from your favorite Narberth eatery and we'll provide the rest:
arts & crafts
board games
movies
open play
and so much more!
You bring the food and drink from your favorite Narberth establishment, and we'll supply the fun. Mom and Dad get
a night out with friends and neighbors. The kids get arts & crafts, board games, movies, open play, and so much
more! A suggested $10 donation will go toward promoting social inclusion for people of all abilities :)
2.) Monday, March 7, 2016 it's the Presidents’ Chat regarding the proposed Form Based Zoning Code beginning at
7:00 PM in Narberth Borough Hall. All are welcome!
3.) Monday, March 7, 2016, We are now registering for our Spring Classes at The Handwork Studio! Spring
Classes begin March 1st.
Classes at The Handwork Studio are a great way to keep your kids creative outside of school. These one-hour classes
are offered in Handwork & Machine Sewing (Grades K-6) Fashion & Machine Sewing (Grades 3-10)
and Open Design Studio (Grades 6-10). Classes are always enrolling! You can get more details or register by

5.) Tuesday, March 8, 2016, *Narberth Community Food Bank *All are Welcome!*
Thank you to all who volunteer, donate and support ending hunger in our community. In order to facilitate donations
to the Narberth Food Bank, the Narberth Community Library has become a Drop Off point for donations. There is a
receptacle just inside the library front door, in front of the circulation desk. We hope this will make it easier for
library patrons and other Narberth citizens to drop off much needed donations at a time that is convenient for them.
The library is open from 10:00 to 8:00 - Monday thru Thursday and 10:00 to 5:00 - Friday and Saturday.
www.NarberthCivic.org/news is now publishing a self-updating notice of items currently needed for donation to the
food bank at the Narberth Family Resource Center. The needs change regularly, and so will this list. I
hope this will facilitate more efficient giving. Please remember the food bank! Even just a few extra cans or items
from a trip makes a difference. There is significant and regular need right here in Lower Merion & Narberth. Check
out the article space in the top right hand column of NarberthCivic.org/news under Family Resource Center of
Narberth. Thank you for your support!
6.) Wednesday, March 9, 2016 there is a Narberth Borough Caucus Session beginning at 8:00 PM in Narberth
Borough Hall. One of the topics tonight will be the proposed Formed Based Zoning Code. Pleas join us!
7.) Wednesdays, March 9-March 16 | 9:30-10:30 am, Mommy & Me Yoga, MLRT School for Early Childhood
Education is now offering Mommy & Me Yoga classes for children 9 weeks to 12 months old led by certified Hatha
Yoga teacher, Ofrit Barash. $15/class for 10 sessions; $20/class for 5 session or $25/session (drop in). Sign up

beginning at 7:00 PM in Narberth Borough Hall. All are welcome!
9.) Saturday, March 12, 2016. The eighth annual Great Narberth Leprechaun Hunt is being held in downtown
Narberth on Saturday, March 12, 2016, from 1pm - 4pm. This free family event is a scavenger hunt, the Saturday
before St. Patrick’s Day, where kids search all over town to find ten leprechauns. Hundreds of children start the hunt
by getting a game card and an empty pot o’ gold from the booth at the corner of Forrest and Haverford Avenues.
They get treats as they find the leprechauns, who are hiding in shops all over town. Once they’ve found all ten, they
return to the booth for a prize - a gold American dollar coin! The hunt lasts until 4pm or while prizes last.
