constructive conversation at our Town Hall regarding the vision, creation and development of Public
Space/Piazza and “placemaking” in our downtown Narberth! I will continue to post articles of interest on the

Registration is now open for Ashbee Youth Lacrosse Club and will continue to remain open until the earlier of
February 23rd or when all slots are filled in each group.
Late registrations may be accepted, space permitting.
This program is open to all boys grades 1-8 residing in Lower Merion, Narberth, and nearby Philadelphia Zip
Codes.

Also - please note we will have a Meeting on Wednesday, February 25th at 7 pm at Harriton High School (600
North Ithan Avenue, Rosemont) Ashbee will hold a town meeting for all new and returning parents at all
player levels. After a brief overview, including our move to SEPYLA, we will have breakout groups to
answer questions specific to every level of the program. This will be an especially important session for those
new to Ashbee and/or lacrosse. We plan to keep this meeting to one hour.
The cafe is located just inside the entrance for the Main Gym, which is the large parking lot and doors closest
to Old Gulph Road; not the main entrance by the football field.

BACK AT THE LIBRARY:
The Narberth Community Library Board of Trustees has an opening for an additional board member. The
Board of Trustees is a working board whose responsibilities include library activity oversight as well as
participation and assistance with various fund raising activities. Regular meetings are once a month in the
evening with an occasional extra meeting if required.
Anyone interested in applying should provide a letter of interest along with a brief resume or bio which may
be dropped of at the library or mailed to the library; attention Linda Waddell, Board President. The library's
address is 80 Windsor Ave, Narberth, PA 19072. Or, it may be emailed to lindawaddell@ymail.com.
Applications must be provided by January 30, 2015.

Thank you to all who volunteer, donate and support ending hunger in our community.
In order to facilitate donations to the Narberth Food Bank, the Narberth Community Library has become a
Drop Off point for donations. There is a receptacle just inside the library front door, in front of the circulation
desk. We hope this will make it easier for library patrons and other Narberth citizens to drop off much needed
donations at a time that is convenient for them. The library is open from 10:00 to 8:00 - Monday thru
Thursday and 10:00 to 5:00 - Friday and Saturday.
www.NarberthCivic.org/news is now publishing a self-updating notice of items currently needed for donation
to the food bank at the Narberth Family Resource Center. The needs change regularly, and so will this list. I
hope this will facilitate more efficient giving. Please remember the food bank! Even just a few extra cans or
items from a trip makes a difference. There is significant and regular need right here in Lower Merion &
Narberth. Check out the article space in the top right hand column of NarberthCivic.org/news under Family
Resource Center of Narberth. Thank you for your support!

New Horizons Senior Center, your local community resource for active adults 55 and older, is located in the
hub of Narberth, at Narberth Borough Hall, 100 Conway Avenue, 2nd Floor. Since 1976, New Horizons has
been providing a wide array of programs and services to appeal to the interests, talents, and desires of local

Windsor Avenue (same place as last year). Planning is already underway for another fabulous day of
celebration and care for our earth.
