It’s baseball time in the Borough! This is my favorite time of the year when all the kids take to the baseball
fields after a long (and quite miserable) winter and make new friends while the parents gather for coffee and
conversation (and make new friends too.)
If you would like to watch a few games, stop by the Narberth Playground on Sunday morning and have a cup
of coffee (I promise it will bring back good memories when time was a little less complicated and all you had
to worry about was “who’s on first?…”)

2. Voting Ballots will then be mailed to you. You must mail it back.

Please Slow Down and Stop.
Remember to come to a complete stop at designated stop signs in the Borough. Our children rely on you to
completely stop (hey you, no rolling) for their safety.
Narberth Girls Basketball League accepting registrations
The Narberth Girls Basketball League, entering its 31st season, is now accepting applications for registration
for the 2015 season, which starts in May and runs to the end of July.
The league is for girls who are currently in grades 5-12. Q. Registration fee is $75 prior to April 15; after April
15, the registration fee is $100. Ecah team plays nine regular-season games, and all of the teams make the
postseason playoffs.
The Narberth Girls Basketball League player draft will be held during the last week of April. The league uses
PIAA officials and PIAA rules.

Over the last half-century there has been a remarkable change in Jewish-Christian relations. After millennia of
estrangement, members of these traditions have begun the difficult process of rethinking views of the other.
During this presentation by Dr. Adam Gregerman, assistant professor in the Theology and Religious Studies
department of Saint Joseph’s University and assistant director of the University's Institute for Jewish-Catholic
Relations, we will consider some of the most important developments in this process as well as the difficult

Thank you to all who volunteer, donate and support ending hunger in our community.
In order to facilitate donations to the Narberth Food Bank, the Narberth Community Library has become a
Drop Off point for donations. There is a receptacle just inside the library front door, in front of the circulation
desk. We hope this will make it easier for library patrons and other Narberth citizens to drop off much needed
donations at a time that is convenient for them. The library is open from 10:00 to 8:00 - Monday thru
Thursday and 10:00 to 5:00 - Friday and Saturday.
www.NarberthCivic.org/news is now publishing a self-updating notice of items currently needed for donation
to the food bank at the Narberth Family Resource Center. The needs change regularly, and so will this list. I
hope this will facilitate more efficient giving. Please remember the food bank! Even just a few extra cans or
items from a trip makes a difference. There is significant and regular need right here in Lower Merion &

6.) Wednesday, April 15, 2015, YOGA FOR CHILDREN aged 3 to 5 years. A friendly class, where we will
create a warm and welcoming space for children and parents too come and enjoy the benefits yoga can offer.
Blending movement, story, games and magical meditations, this class will open the door to a space where we
slow down and smile at how much fun taking our time can be!!

This is an ongoing weekly class especially designed for busy 4th and 5th graders. It's a small group of children
who I welcome each week and work with in a yoga setting - helping them to soften the heavy school week and
learn about the beauty of mindfulness.

at 7:00 P.M. Movie Night is always "FREE" and there will be refreshments, popcorn and candy available.
Parents/Guardians: Make it a Narberth Date Night! Grab a bite to eat or shop in our downtown during the

10.) Saturday, April 25, 2015, NarbEarth Day! New Exhibitors, Old Timey Music and Great Food!
Calling all who want to celebrate and save our dear Earth!
At NarbEarth Day on Saturday April 25, you'll find many ways to do this from 12 noon to 4:00pm. Major
environmental organizations will be there, such as 350.org, Sierra Club, and the EPA, as well as many local
organizations such as GMO-free PA, and Food and Water Watch PA. You’ll be able to make your own
milkshake using a bicycle-powered blender, explore the new BMW i3 electric car, and feast on locally-
sourced, organic food. There will be activities and crafts for kids that emphasize recycling, creativity and
gardening. Maybe you’d just like a relaxing afternoon out in Narberth among families and friends, listening to
Grip It & Rip It playing old timey music.
This is the 26th year that the Narberth Civic Association has presented NarbEarth Day, an afternoon of
celebration and care for the Earth. It’s a free, family environmental fair for children andadults that features
exhibits and activities promoting environmental awareness and responsibility. The event is held outdoors in
Narberth Park, right next to the Narberth Community Library, which will be holding it's annual used book
sale.
In the spirit of "reduce, reuse, recycle" everyone is encouraged to bring used toys, children’s clothing,
household goods and eyeglasses to swap or donate. You might find a treasure to take home yourself.
Gardeners can bring perennials and houseplants to the plant exchange. But you don’t have to bring something
to swap. You’re welcome to take what you can use and make a donation to the NCA.
The NarbEarth Day raffle is one of the most popular features of the event for both adults and kids. We've
received a variety of fantastic prizes from our generous local businesses, such as organic food items,
educational toys, services like tree treatments, and gift certificates for yoga classes, Ricklin’s Hardware,
Whole Foods and other local stores. The raffle gets bigger and better every year. More donations are coming
in every day, and there really will be something for everyone!
The rain date for NarbEarth Day is Sunday April 26th.
Please feel inspired to donate some time between 11 AM and 5 PM on the 25th (or 26th in case of rain), we are
still in need of volunteers to help set up, run and clean up the fair. Just an hour or two would be a tremendous
help.
