Welcome to the Friday, May 1, 2015 Edition of NarbNet!
May Day! May Day! (sorry, no Narberth tradition of dancing around a pole-we only bring that out for
Festivus-but we have a really great weekend in store for you in the Boro!)
It’s our Spring Sidewalk Festival with plenty of events throughout the weekend including our famous (and
fun) Music & Arts Festival on Sunday and I hope you are able to join us!
(Alright, if you want to bring that pole, I’m sure we will be able to work something out too, absolutely no
tinsel…)
Go Narberth Beer Runners! (you soon be noticing some very fashionable t-shirts in the Boro!)
Please visit the Narberth Beer Runners page at https://www.facebook.com/
them”and the NBR will let you know of the next run.
Also check out: http://vimeo.com/109624211 too!
“On a bicycle built for two?” https://youtu.be/78MKBHR3NbU
Not quite. I don’t think Daisy sung about your bike and the person that just walked it off your porch without
permission. Just a reminder, please lock or secure your bikes. We have been receiving many calls of missing
bikes from the garage or porch in the Boro with the spring weather. Thanks!

PHILLY FOODWORKS CSA RETURNS TO NARBERTH FOR THE 2015 SEASON:
The Philly Foodworks Farm share is returning to Narberth with fresh local veggies, meat, cheeses, and more.
Different than a regular farm share, the Philly Foodworks Rolling Farm Share offers regular deliveries of fresh
local foods with as little as a $100 pre-season payment and no seasonal commitment. Get creative by choosing
from custom shares, special add-ons, and a range of great local products on their online market.
Born out of the urban farming movement in Philadelphia, Philly Foodworks strives to support local,
sustainable producers while bringing good food to the community. They provide farmers with funding upfront
and work with community groups to make local food more accessible for all.
Learn more about Philly Foodworks and their expansive share options at phillyfoodworks.com. Check out this
short video that describes more about Philly Foodworks and their Rolling Farm Share:

Please Slow Down and Stop.
Remember to come to a complete stop at designated stop signs in the Borough. Our children rely on you to
completely stop (hey you, no rolling) for their safety.

Thank you to all who volunteer, donate and support ending hunger in our community. In order to facilitate
donations to the Narberth Food Bank, the Narberth Community Library has become a Drop Off point for
donations. There is a receptacle just inside the library front door, in front of the circulation desk. We hope this
will make it easier for library patrons and other Narberth citizens to drop off much needed donations at a time
that is convenient for them. The library is open from 10:00 to 8:00 - Monday thru Thursday and 10:00 to 5:00
- Friday and Saturday.
www.NarberthCivic.org/news is now publishing a self-updating notice of items currently needed for donation
to the food bank at the Narberth Family Resource Center. The needs change regularly, and so will this list. I
hope this will facilitate more efficient giving. Please remember the food bank! Even just a few extra cans or
items from a trip makes a difference. There is significant and regular need right here in Lower Merion &
Narberth. Check out the article space in the top right hand column of NarberthCivic.org/news under Family
Resource Center of Narberth. Thank you for your support!
